Unity Fashion Show Hosts

Marcy Markusa

Marcy MarkusaBorn and raised in Winnipeg, Marcy Markusa has strong roots in the local community and strives to make every story relevant to the people who call our province home.

She has been working as a journalist since 1996.

She got her start in Steinbach, Manitoba where she worked for a small radio station as a news reporter and reader. There she covered the 1997 flood from an airplane.

“It was a crazy experience.”

She moved back to Winnipeg and took a TV job hosting CityScape on Videon Cable 11 and came to CBC Radio One to co-host mornings in 2001.

Marcy loves hosting Information Radio live each morning and hopes to connect to listeners with her energetic warmth and sense of humour.

Tune into Marcy weekday mornings for local news, weather and traffic from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m. on 89.3 FM / 990 AM.

Craig Larkins

Craig LarkinsUnity Fashion Show is thrilled to introduce Global TV’s Craig Larkins as master of ceremonies. Inquisitive at heart, Craig began his broadcast career behind the scenes. Working from a production assistant to a camera operator - he has literally done it all. It wasn’t until Craig stepped in front of the camera that he truly found his calling.

In his early days as a news reporter, viewers tuned in to see Craig do everything from breaking a story on local models looking for their big break overseas hiding horrific abuses by their agencies to competing in a local version of Dancing with the stars. Now he delivers weather news with a friendly ease that relates to everyday families.

We welcome Craig and are pleased that he will be a part of Unity.

Shannon Martin

Shannon MartinUnity Fashion Show is delighted to have Shannon Martin join in the hosting duties for this monumental event. Shannon delivered the news to Northern Ontario for two years before coming back home to Winnipeg. She returned to reporting at Global News, quickly became their Prime News and News Final anchor.

“I was bitten by the journalism bug early in life,” says Shannon. She became the youngest and only Canadian contributor for the debut year of the US publication, Teen People. She was also a freelance writer for Winnipeg Women & Men magazines.

In her spare time, Shannon is a self-described hot yoga junkie. She also loves spending time with family and friends, and walking her Yorkshire terrier Gus.

We are very happy to have Shannon as our co-host and welcome her as a part of Unity.
